Pateo services are delivered by three routes:
R&D Problem Resolution: 1-3 months of hands-on focused leadership-management to (e.g.) define and resolve a specific project, technical, managerial or leadership issue in an R&D Group.
Interim Management: 2-9 months of intense leadership-management activity to (e.g.) define new products, develop new product strategy, restructure-rebuild an R&D organization, rework and implement new development schedules, create process and structures for new product definition and development.
Long Term: A 6-15 month sequence of some of the tasks listed above.
Hands-On, Onsite Service Delivery:
Our preferred (because it is most effective) style of engagement is to be as an executive working on specific, internally announced assignment for the President or a Vice President. We normally present ourselves as a consultant working on a series of assignments of indefinite length.
We expect to sign your normal employee non-disclosure agreement to cover confidential information.
We prefer to be on-site full-time. Since we are highly communication centered we prefer use a dedicated office in which to conduct extensive discussions with access to conference rooms; plus normal email and personnel scheduling facilities. We normally develop reports, presentations, analyses and often use the internet extensively - so for some types of engagement we are able work from home 1-2 days and spend 3-4 days per week onsite.
We provide "Tools-of-Trade": Notebook PC, NIC, Win 98 and Office 2000 (Excel, Word, Frontpage, Powerpoint, Outlook, Explorer) plus MS Project 98. We can also provide a local colour printer for confidential or colour work.
If your organization requires use of other tools (e.g. MS Windows XP, Office XP, Project 2000) or other specific programs we will require provision of these programs.
Fee Schedule:
Our rates compare favorably with the effective costs of R&D personnel. The rates depended upon the planned length of the engagement.

Invoicing:
We invoice every two weeks. We normally expect payment within fifteen working days of invoice submission.
